Leader By Example - Inspirational Team Infusion

Shane Warne clearly demonstrated how self belief can make all the difference for the Rajasthan Royals.

Having come back from behind, he majestically took four wickets, however the pressure was still on Trivedi to come up with trumps, and boy did Shane Warne put on some inspirational pressure.

Guiding his fielders into position as though he was directing a satellite navigation system, he clearly demonstrated his photographic memory of the fielders positions between overs, and to some extent even between crucial deliveries within overs!

Napgur, April 5 (IANS) Rajasthan Royal defeated Deccan Chargers by 2 runs in an Indian Premier League match here Monday.
Set a winning target of 160, Deccan Chargers were all out for 157 with a ball to spare.
Rohit Sharma struck 73 off 44 balls, but Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne turned the game picking four wickets at a crucial time.

Towards the end it looked like an impossible task, but the wickets kept on coming and coming. Morkels catch with one hand, running away from the wicket with his back against the picth and into the crowd, was nothing short of sublime.

It eventually looked like the Deccan Chargers were through with a win, when the penultimate bowl was hit sky high looking for a boundary, but somehow, garvity defied the trajectory, and the ball came landing down into the hands of an omcoming fielder to seal the tantalising victory for the Rajasthan Royals.

What a great match, Rivan and Nihal went crazy and so did Rivan's Dad. Rivan's Mum was not phased by the comotion as she continued with her ironing, as if nothing had happened, and likewise Jasmine decided to watch Hannah Montana in the other room in protest, as if that was going to change the score!

Come on squire, we had just witnesses a momentous and nail biting finish to an exhilirating performance amidst an atmosphere that was near electric. IPL Cricket at Easter and World Darts at Christmas, what a treat, truly sensational cricket thriller!

Here goes the detailed analysis ...

Shane Warne: One of those days where things went right for us. Our fielding and bowling was great tonight. We were 15-20 runs short and we had to make that up in our bowling. We all did well as a team and it’s nice to get a couple of wickets. We really responded well as a group, it was up to the experienced guys to lead the way for the youngsters and we did that. Watson was batting really well. Don’t write us off. Trivedi is an experienced campaigner and it’s good to have him back. When you love the game and play for 20 years, you enjoy every moment of it. Credit to Modi, this is a fantastic competition.
